Increase of the minimum amount of the additional remuneration for night work in Bulgaria from 01.01.2021
The Council of Ministers adopted amendments of the additional remuneration for night work which shall enter into force on 1 January 2021.
The workers and employees shall receive additional remuneration for night work in the amount of not less than 0.15 per cent of the minimum wage established for the country, but not less than one lev. In an identical way, the additional remuneration for night work of the employees in the state administration shall be increased.
In this way, the additional remuneration for night work shall be tied to the minimum wage and its update in accordance with the wage’s growth shall be guaranteed.
The established amount of additional remuneration for night work of the persons under employment contract and of the employees under official and labor legal relations in the state administration is minimal, as a higher size may be determined with a collective labor contract, with internal rules for the salary or with an individual labor contract.
